Since there aren't many parent reviews of the Runabout Triple Stroller, which can also be used as a triple jogging stroller, I have included here my summary of parent reviews of the Runabout Stroller line in general (for twins, triplets, quadruplets or quintuplets or multiple children of different ages). Listed below are the most commonly mentioned pros and cons, with comments about the triple model where applicable.

ProsCons
suitable for newborns to 5 years (each seat holds up to 55 lbs) expensive
durable hand welded steel frame (five year frame warranty) long (the Runabout Triple Stroller is 53 inches long to the end of the rear seat headrest)
fits through standard doorways doesn’t accommodate infant car seats (UPDATE:The new Rock & Roll Runabout double and triple models will accommodate Graco infant car seats - coming the Summer of 2006)
easily removable seats that recline from 10 to 35 degrees difficult to transport without a large vehicle (although a car carrier is available to attach to a hitch)
good safety features (ex: 5-point harness, wheelcovers, front wheel handbrake) not very comfortable, lacking in padding
pushes easily not much leg room between seats, especially when reclined
great for jogging no bells and whistles (accessories need to be purchased separately)
stadium-like seating gives all children a good view
telescoping handle is wonderful for people of different heights and strides
great for rural and urban use
sun canopy and weather shield work well
excellent resale value

Final Comments:

  • overall, parents who have a Runabout Stroller love it for the freedom it gives them to get out of the house with their multiple children, even though it's not the most comfortable stroller or the easiest to transport
  • ideal for large families with children close in age and for daycares
  • wonderful for taking several children on walks or jogs
  • differing views on the quality of the suspension (one parent said the children could feel all the big bumps)
  • perhaps not ideal for newborns , may be best to wait for good head control and some sitting ability at 6 months of age (although a cushioned infant double head support is available to purchase)
