Best Stroller Travel Systems of 2011/2012

A stroller travel system is a convenient way to transport a newborn baby. This combination of a stroller with an infant car seat that clips in and out permits you to transfer your baby between your stroller and vehicle undisturbed.

Not so long ago, travel systems were much too heavy (nearly 30 pounds) due to "feature overload". Also, the lower quality of some of the mass market travel systems often lead parents to buy something better and lighter after their baby had outgrown her infant car seat.

Myself, I purchased a stroller frame for my twins (yes, they come in a double size!), and I really loved it. However, if there had been a more lightweight travel system available at that time, I probably would have gone with that instead.

Thankfully, these days there are quality, lightweight strollers that now come with their own infant car seats and car seat adapters, thereby transforming them into stroller travel systems. Many of these strollers can also hold several different makes of infant car seats if they don't come with their own.
